This is my first birdhouse design to incorporate the design concept of “breeze blocks” - a special vented block wall that grew in popularity in the mid twentieth century. The concept is simple: filter the sunlight while letting the breeze flow through. (For a particularly stunning example of this, look up the US Embassy in New Delhi.)

This fully-functioning birdhouse is built to withstand the test of time and live in the elements. Though, many of my clients choose to display these birdhouses indoors, as an art piece.

In any case, I have gone to great lengths to bring you my very best birdhouse design to date. This house is sized for the widest variety of North American nesting birds such nuthatches, wrens, finches, etc. It has been lovingly painted with the best outdoor paint available. It includes a clean-out port in the back, for optional seasonal vacuuming.

A handy mounting flange is included and installed. An optional mounting bracket - for mounting the birdhouse on an existing post or other structure - is available as an option below. Or, you can fashion your own mounting solution from standard 1/2" pipes and fittings.
